What working with Newdawn looks like from your side
Newdawn is a registered NDIS provider founded in Cranbourne in 2019. We deliver four things: disability support at home and in the community, clinical services including community nursing, behaviour support and our own support coordination, complex mental health and forensic support, and supported accommodation across Melbourne's south-east, Gippsland and Queensland.
We know what makes a coordinator's week harder: providers who take days to respond, say yes to everything and then cannot roster it, or send a service agreement that does not match the plan. So our intake desk tells you capacity honestly on the first call, our agreements are written against the actual support items and price limits, and you get a named contact who stays on the file.
Complex, forensic and psychosocial referrals are where we are most useful. If the last two providers stepped back, send it to us and we will tell you the same day whether we can take it on and what it would need.
What we deliver, in one table
Each support links to its own page with the funding detail and the questions participants ask. Registration groups are listed so you can match them to the plan.

Intake confirms receipt, tells you honestly whether we have capacity for that support and area, and gives you the ND reference number.
- 03
Meet and agree
A coordinator meets the participant and family within days, at home, in hospital or at our Cranbourne office. Draft service agreement back to you in 48 hours.
- 04
Rostered and reported
Matched workers introduced before the first shift. You get a start confirmation, a named contact and progress updates in the form you prefer.
What makes a referral fast
- The participant's name, date of birth and NDIS number, and who holds consent.
- The plan, or at least the relevant budgets and dates, and how it is managed (self, plan or NDIA).
- Which supports you are referring for, roughly how many hours, and where.
- Anything that affects safety or matching: behaviour support plan, restrictive practice authorisations, justice orders, language, gender preference for workers.
- The best way and time to reach the participant and family.
What you get back
- Receipt and ND reference number the same day.
- A capacity answer, yes or no, in plain words.
- Draft service agreement and schedule of supports within 48 hours of the participant agreeing.
- A named Newdawn contact with a direct number.
- Start confirmation, then updates at the cadence you ask for.
Melbourne's south-east first, then everywhere we have an office
Our head office is in Cranbourne, so Casey, Cardinia, Greater Dandenong and Frankston are home ground, with Gippsland through our Traralgon home. Queensland referrals run through Caboolture and Western Australia through West Perth. Each area has its own page with local detail.
Straight answers.
If yours is not here, call the intake desk. A person answers.
Do you have capacity right now?
For in-home and community supports across Casey, Cardinia and Greater Dandenong, usually yes, with a start within one to two weeks. For SIL it depends on the vacancy feed above. For complex, forensic and high intensity referrals we assess each one, and we tell you the answer on the first call rather than after a week of silence.
How do you handle the conflict of interest if you also provide support coordination?
Openly. If a participant uses our support coordination and chooses another Newdawn service, we record that alternatives were offered, confirm it in writing, and the participant can change either at any time. If you are the coordinator, we never approach the participant about our coordination; the plan's coordinator is you.
Will your service agreement match the plan?
Yes. Agreements are written against the actual support items, price limits and dates in the plan, with the schedule of supports as a separate page you can check against the budgets. If something in the plan does not support what has been asked for, we tell you before anything is signed.
Can you take hospital discharges and urgent starts?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are set up for. We work with the discharge teams at Casey, Dandenong and Frankston hospitals and can line up STA, MTA or SIL step-down plus workers and nursing for the first days home. See the discharge planners page for the detail.
How do you report back to me?
However you prefer: a short email after key events, a monthly summary, or progress notes on request. Incidents are reported to you the same day. You get a named contact with a direct number, not a generic inbox.
Do you cover Queensland and Western Australia?
Yes. Our Caboolture office covers the Moreton Bay region and north Brisbane, and our West Perth office covers Perth metro, Rockingham, Mandurah and Peel. The same intake desk takes the referral and hands it to the local team.
Send the referral. We will reply today.
The online form takes about five minutes. Or email intake@newdawnss.com.au with the plan attached and we will do the rest.
Tell us what you need. We'll take it from there.
Whether you're exploring NDIS for the first time, looking for a support worker, or asking about one of our homes, we'll reply within a few minutes.
