NDIS support in Berwick, close to Casey Hospital and close to home.
Berwick has the region's public hospital, two private hospitals, a university campus and an old High Street village. Our Cranbourne office is about 15 minutes away, and getting people home from hospital is what we are asked for most here.

Where Casey's health services are, and where people come home from
Kangan Drive is why many people first hear of Berwick. Casey Hospital, run by Monash Health, has the region's 24-hour emergency department and inpatient mental health unit. St John of God Berwick Hospital sits opposite, its Langmore Centre on Gibb Street provides private mental health care, and Chisholm's Berwick campus is on the same drive. A large share of our hospital discharge support and community nursing work starts at one of these doors.
Berwick itself is older and more settled than the suburbs to its south. The High Street village, Wilson Botanic Park in its former quarry, Federation University's campus on Clyde Road and newer pockets around Eden Rise share one postcode. For students and long-time residents alike we provide personal care, community participation and support coordination from the one Cranbourne team.
We do not have an office on High Street, and Berwick has more providers than most of Casey because the hospital is here. What we offer is a team 15 minutes away that knows the discharge planners, nurses on your doorstep the day you get home, and the same workers week after week.

How it worksThe places our workers and nurses use in Berwick
Local knowledge here is mostly medical, with an old village attached.
- Casey Hospital, 62-70 Kangan Drive Monash Health's acute hospital for Casey and Cardinia: 24-hour emergency department, inpatient mental health, paediatrics and maternity.
- St John of God Berwick Hospital, Kangan Drive The private hospital opposite Casey Hospital, open since January 2018. Many people we support have surgery or rehabilitation here.
- St John of God Langmore Centre, Gibb Street Private mental health care in the redeveloped original hospital since 2022. We help people leaving here re-establish routines at home.
- Berwick Station, Reserve Street On the Pakenham line, with the bus terminus alongside. Travel training in Berwick usually starts here.
- Federation University Berwick and Chisholm Berwick The university campus at 72-100 Clyde Road is a five-minute walk from the station; Chisholm's TAFE campus is at 25 Kangan Drive.
- High Street village and Berwick Marketplace The old shopping strip and the small centre beside it: banking, pharmacy and coffee when a big centre is too much.
- Eden Rise Village The neighbourhood centre on the Clyde Road side, reachable on the 836 bus. Regular shopping support happens here.
- Wilson Botanic Park The former railway quarry turned botanic park, with lakes and paths. A quiet outing without crowds.
Homes with real vacancies, not a vacancy sign
We do not have a home in Berwick. Our Supported Independent Living homes are in Pakenham, currently full with a waitlist, and Traralgon, which has a room available. Our purpose-built Robust SDA home is in Morayfield, Queensland. Vacancies change, so our accommodation page shows the current status rather than a promise. If you are leaving Casey Hospital and cannot go back to your previous home, our coordinators help you look at short and medium term options.

Straight answers.
If yours is not here, call and ask. It is what we are for.
Which suburbs around Berwick do you cover?
All of Berwick, plus Beaconsfield, Harkaway, Narre Warren, Narre Warren South, Clyde North and Officer, and across the Cardinia boundary into Pakenham. Our rosters are busiest between Cranbourne and Berwick along Clyde Road and the Berwick-Cranbourne Road corridor. If you are on the semi-rural side towards Harkaway or Guys Hill, ask: we usually can, with a little more notice.
How does hospital discharge support actually work?
A social worker, a family member or you contact us while you are still in hospital. A coordinator meets you on the ward, works out what the first fortnight needs, and lines up workers, nursing and equipment. We have started supports within days when a plan and service agreement are ready. More on our hospital discharge page.
Can I get a support worker who speaks my language?
Often, yes. Our team supports people in 17 languages and Auslan, and language and cultural fit are among the first things we ask about when matching. Berwick is less diverse than Hampton Park or Dandenong, so we are honest if the right worker will take a little longer to find, and we arrange an interpreter in the meantime.
Do you offer support coordination in Berwick?
Yes. Our Level 2 and Level 3 coordinators work from the Cranbourne office, 15 minutes away, and are often at Casey Hospital anyway. They know the discharge planners, which local therapists have capacity, and how the Narre Warren partner office works. You can meet them in person. Details are on our support coordination page.
How quickly can support start?
For planned support, usually within one to two weeks of the first conversation. Hospital discharge is faster, often within days, because the hospital sets the deadline and we work to it. Community nursing can begin once a nurse has done the first assessment at home. Behaviour support and high intensity supports need assessment and training first.
Do you have SIL vacancies in Berwick right now?
Not in Berwick. Our own homes are in Pakenham, Traralgon and Morayfield, and their current status is kept up to date on the accommodation page. Our coordinators know the SIL and SDA homes run by other providers around Berwick and Clyde North and will help you visit and compare them without steering you towards ours.
Can a nurse visit me at home in Berwick after surgery?
Yes, if the care is disability-related and funded in your plan. Our registered and enrolled nurses visit homes across Berwick for wound care, medication, continence and catheter care, and train your support workers so care is consistent. Post-surgical care that belongs to the hospital or Medicare is funded differently, and we help you sort out which is which.
Can you support a student at Federation University or Chisholm?
Yes. We support students with the parts of study the NDIS funds: getting to campus, personal care during the day, support in and between classes where needed, and the routines at home that make turning up possible. Academic adjustments are the campus disability service's role, and we work alongside them rather than duplicating what they do.
