NDIS support from the people down the road

Most NDIS providers who list Cranbourne on their website are based somewhere else. Newdawn is not. Our head office is in Cranbourne, our intake team answers the phone from here, and a large share of the people we support live across Cranbourne, Cranbourne North, East, West and South, Clyde North, Botanic Ridge and Lyndhurst. When a shift needs covering at short notice, the worker who steps in is usually ten minutes away, not forty.

We are a registered NDIS provider across four areas: disability support at home and in the community, clinical services including community nursing and support coordination, complex mental health and forensic support, and supported accommodation. You can use one of these or all of them, and the same team stays with you as your plan changes.

Cranbourne is one of the fastest-growing parts of Melbourne, and NDIS demand here has grown with it. That brings choice, but also providers who overpromise. We would rather tell you plainly what we can do, what we cannot, and who else to call if we are not the right fit.

Homes nearby

Homes with real vacancies, not a vacancy sign

We run Supported Independent Living homes in Pakenham and Traralgon, and a purpose-built Robust SDA home in Morayfield, Queensland. Vacancies change, so our accommodation page shows the current status rather than a promise. If none of ours fit, our support coordinators help you find and vet homes from other providers around Clyde North, Cranbourne East and Narre Warren.

Questions from Cranbourne

Straight answers.

If yours is not here, call and ask. It is what we are for.

Where is Newdawn's office in Cranbourne?

Our head office is in Cranbourne, Victoria 3977, a short drive from Cranbourne Park and the station. You are welcome to drop in during business hours, but a quick call first means the right person is there to meet you. The full address, a map and our Queensland and Western Australia offices are on our locations page.

Which suburbs around Cranbourne do you cover?

All of Cranbourne including North, East, West and South, plus Clyde, Clyde North, Botanic Ridge, Junction Village, Lyndhurst, Devon Meadows, Pearcedale and Cannons Creek. We also roster regularly into Berwick, Narre Warren, Hampton Park, Pakenham and Officer, and across Casey and Cardinia more broadly. If you are further out, ask: we often can.

Can I get a support worker who speaks my language?

Often, yes. Our team supports people in 17 languages, and Cranbourne is one of the most diverse parts of Melbourne, so language and cultural fit is one of the first things we ask about. If we do not have the right worker on the day, we tell you and arrange a free interpreter rather than guessing. Auslan users can reach us through the National Relay Service.

Do you offer support coordination in Cranbourne?

Yes. Our coordinators work from the Cranbourne office and cover Level 2 and Level 3 (specialist) support coordination across Casey and Cardinia. You can meet them in person, which most Melbourne-based coordinators cannot offer here. Read how it works on our support coordination page.

How quickly can support start?

For in-home and community support it is usually within one to two weeks of the first conversation, depending on how specific the match needs to be. Hospital discharge and urgent situations are faster: we have started supports within days when a plan and a service agreement are ready. Nursing and behaviour support depend on clinical assessment first.

Do you have SIL vacancies in Cranbourne right now?

Our own homes are in Pakenham, Traralgon and Morayfield, and their vacancy status is kept current on the accommodation page. For Cranbourne itself, our coordinators know the SIL and SDA homes run by other providers and will help you visit and compare them without pushing you towards ours.

Can my NDIS plan pay for the activities themselves, like the gym or the gardens?

The NDIS pays for the support worker who helps you take part, not usually for the entry ticket, membership or coffee, which are everyday costs. There are exceptions written into some plans. Our coordinators help you read your plan so you know what is covered before you book.

What if I am not happy with a worker?

Tell us, and we change the match. You do not have to explain in detail or wait for a review. Consistency matters, but only when it is the right person; a worker who is not a fit is replaced, and the feedback goes into how we match next time.
