Text size controls
Use the accessibility button in the menu bar to increase text size across the whole site. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
We support people with disability, so an inaccessible website would be a contradiction. Here is what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Look for the accessibility icon and the globe in the menu bar at the top of any page.
Use the accessibility button in the menu bar to increase text size across the whole site. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
Turn on Easy Read for larger text, more spacing and simpler presentation. Our Easy Read page explains Newdawn in short sentences with pictures.
Switch off animations from the accessibility menu. We also respect your device setting automatically, so nothing moves if you have asked it not to.
Turn on link underlining so every link is visible without relying on colour alone.
Switch the site into any of the languages the NDIS publishes in, plus Yoruba, using the globe in the menu bar.
Every page can be navigated by keyboard, with a skip-to-content link, visible focus outlines, proper headings and labelled form fields.
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by Australian government accessibility policy. In practice that means:
We test with keyboard navigation and screen readers as we build. We have not yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit, and we would rather say so than imply a certification we do not hold.
The language switcher uses automated translation. It is good for understanding a page, but it is not a substitute for a professional interpreter. Interpreters are free for NDIS participants and we will book one for you.
Some downloadable documents are PDFs that may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible format at no cost.
Easy Read mode adjusts presentation across the site, but only our Easy Read page is written in full Easy Read language. We are expanding this.
Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it and get the information to you another way in the meantime. We aim to respond within a few minutes during business hours. You can also ask for anything on this site in another format at no cost.
